i'll just compare p1 home PLUS with celcom Broadband Advance and streamyx 1.0Mbps as these almost have the same monthly fee:-
Speed
- P1 = up to 1.2 Mbps
- celcom = up to 3.6Mbps
- Streamyx = 1Mbps
Monthly payment
- P1 = RM 99
- celcom = RM 98
- Streamyx = RM 99
Fair Usage threshold
- P1 = 20 GB
- celcom = 5GB
- Streamyx = unlimited
modem
- P1 = need to buy modem from them RM20 x12month.
- celcom = either find your self or buy with celcom or just use phone with hsdpa.
- Streamyx = modem include
coverage
- P1 = limited to few place only.map
- celcom = as long u can get celcom line, the different just the speed.map
- Streamyx = if u got land line then most probably you are good , n few place with hotspot.
as stated above we all can see that Celcom has advantage over P1 and streamyx in term of speed. 3x the speed of P1. as for monthly commitment, celcom won by just RM 1. this can be ignored. for fair usage threshold, many didn't know this, but when u reach the limit, your line will be limited for the rest of the month. u can still go online but the speed will be reduce. for a heavy torrent downloader this is not good. so better go for streamyx. for me... hmmm... i'll see next month if the 5GB allocated for me is enough or not.
for me in term of mobility, i prefer celcom as it has the widest coverage of all. but if u just wanna go out of the mainstream just go for P1W1Max.(typical for Wak). Anyway just do a few research then u will get what u want and not get what other people want.

maxis, streamyx...already try...now been using celcom broadband for almost a year...quality vs RM, just fucking average. dun tell me bout location cos i am in JB. and ur comparison are just based on the provider's info. did u know what is the min req of uptime for network provider? as required by SKMM. are the provider in msia barely meet the req. lame.
p1wimax, the coverage juz too narrow. even in JB.
all in all. wait til u deal with celcom cust service. juz fcking hell.

mmg aku bandingkan berdasar info provider. sbb kalau masuk mahkamah pun aku xkan menang dengan bg info aku sendri. dorg dh tulis dlm agreement mase daftar dulu. ko bace x? anyway ade satu dua info yg dorang sorok dan aku taruk kat sini supaya org tau, mcm celcom threshold 5Gb, die state tu kat dlm fair usage policy jer, dan kalau kat web tu kecik jer link die.
dan streamyx pun ade best affort policy. min 75% from subscribe line speed. yang ni kite kene tau, sebab kalau kite wat test speed dan line kite bawah dr 75%, kite boleh wat aduan kt TM.

when ur reception at certain area cannot meet 75%, try to call the cust care...see how lousy they will respond. buat la aduan. aduan sekadar aduan. this is based from what i endured. atau ada yg menang saman TM sbb tak capai best effort policy?
